Jean LaClair

      Bronson High School

Over the course over her career, Jean LaClair has coached for 26 years and counting. She has spent the majority of this time coaching volleyball at Bronson High School where she continues to do so. In these years LaClair has amassed a total record of 1065-346-94. These victories have propelled her teams to 12 League Championships, 15 District Championships, 7 Regional Championships, 1 State Runner-up and 3 State Championships. Her honors as a coach include multiple regional and state Coach of the Year awards as well as an Athletic Director of the Year award. LaClair was inducted into the Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2006.

     Jean is an active community member and has served as an Athletic Director for 22 years. Additionally, she has been a board member for the MIVCA for 18 years and counting. Jean has been described as “selfless” in her coaching giving as much as she can to her athletes, colleagues and programs. She is recognized as being one of the great mentors and ambassadors for the sport of volleyball and is willing to advocate for anyone who is in need of assistance. The lessons she teaches her athletes aid them on the court and later in life and embodies determination, hard work, sacrifice and a willingness to succeed.
